The Australian Hand and Microsurgery Unit

The Australian Hand and Microsurgery Unit is home to some of the worlds most eminent hand surgeons. The team at the hand and Microsurgery unit are able to perform urgent or elective surgery. The unit has 24 hour medical coverage with surgeons on call to perform emergency surgery should the need arise.

The unit is developing a range of research and post graduate teaching programs.

The Australian Hand and Microsurgery Unit focuses upon a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure the best treatment options are evaluated and should surgery be required this will be followed up with specialist nursing and rehabilitation to ensure a return to optimum function.

The unit focuses on the repairing and treatment of traumatic injuries, repetitive motion injuries, arthritic conditions and congenital deformities.
